“I Wonder”

February 5th, 2010

I wrote this song a few years ago..

I was never that happy with the how the arrangement was laid out, or how the recording sounded..

I changed the key of the song, put a harmony on it, and had Kerry Ryan smash a bass drum with a mallet, and it’s a new song.. Kerry also adds a little shaker..

I think you’ll enjoy the guitar tone on this one.. I’ll leave it up on here for a little while :)

Lit on the Flash

Lit on the Flash

Jake Roche- Vocals, Guitars

Wyatt King- Drums

Dave Arsenault- Bass

Lit on the Flash is a band from York, Maine.

I started jamming with my long time friend Wyatt King in the spring of 2009. We had just recently played a show together with some of the guys from Jeremiah Freed in Hollywood.

I had a ton of songs after living for just over a year in Charleston, SC. We brought in another long time friend Dave Arsenault to lay down the bass lines. There was only three of us, but we were putting out a lot of sound. Lit on the Flash was born.

After playing together only a month, we recorded six songs at our friend Jon Nolan’s studio in Rollingsford, NH. We were in the studio for three days.

Lit on the Flash played a run of shows during the Summer. Including The Big Easy in Portland, Maine, Harper’s Ferry in Alston, MA, and The Stone Church in Newmarket, NH.

Lit on the Flash played at Beatles night at Asylum in Portland. We played “Don’t let me down”, “Money (That’s what I want)”  then snuck in The Rolling Stones “Rip this joint”.

The songs have never been officially released, and we haven’t played together recently.
